HHQI Team Remarks |
We have been inundated with preparing for the OASIS/PPS changes coming 1/1/08 but will be implementing these in January. |
We understand! This has been a very busy campaign, and we recognize that the monthly packages are a welcome, but sometimes overwhelming undertaking. The work associated with the PPS changes is a major focus with many home health agencies at this time. The last three packages have the theme of “Building Upon The Basics”. We suggest that agencies save these packages, tools and resources and plan to use them starting in early 2008. These packages will help your agency build upon current practices and maximize what you already have in place. This may include initiating new tools, revising other tools and looking at specific practices to become a major partner in enhancing quality of patient care. |
Note: Thanks to all of you for participating in the monthly Best Practice Intervention Package Surveys. There will be a final survey in January, however the January survey will focus on an overall evaluation of the HHQI Campaign. Please consider participating in the January HHQI Campaign survey to help us understand what resources from the campaign have been the most helpful to you. The survey will be available on www.homehealthquality.org from January 2-16.
