Cholesterol:clogged artery
The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

Slides | Recording (62 min) | Transcript

71 million Americans have high low-density lipoprotein (LDL) which doubles their risk for heart disease (CDC). Yet, 25% of post-MI patients do not fill their cardiac prescriptions (e.g., statins, beta blockers) within 7 days of hospitalization (AHA, 2009). Home health has an important role in the recovery of this patient population by assisting in overcoming adherence barriers.

During this quarterly HHQI Progressive Cardiovascular Learning & Action Network (CardioLAN) webinar, guest speaker Chelsea E. Leonard, PharmD, will share the latest information on cholesterol management and adherence strategies and will also describe just how community pharmacists can help your patients improve the management of their oral medications.
